Job Summary: Work as a Recreation Assistant to support the Recreation Therapy team by planning and facilitating recreational activities for patients, clients, and residents.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team-based environment to carry out recreation programs in consultation with the Recreation Therapist.
• Organize and oversee patients, clients, or residents on outings.
• Coordinate portering of patients, clients, or residents to and from activities.
• Demonstrate techniques of recreation activities.
• Apply prescribed adaptations to recreation activities to enable maximum independence as directed by the Recreation Therapist.
