Description

Summary
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting practices, reconciliations, month end reporting and other accounting coverage. This role is based out of our Bedford, NS office or the Ottawa, ON office and participates in Hybrid work. The role is in office three (3) days per week. 
As Accountant, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform moderately complex tasks for the company’s accounting function

Maintain general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and journal entries

Prepare journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations

Assist with month end and year end closing processes

Assist with accounts payable / receivable as required

Support preparation of financial statements and management reports

Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
