• Support citrus research by propagating experimental units and participating in the maintenance of greenhouse screening experiments (soil adaptation, nematode, disease and insect tolerance). Also perform laboratory experiments, including preparing media and analyzing plant and soil samples to identify nematodes, fungi, and soil arthropods to the species level and quantify infestation levels.
• Isolate, maintain and periodically increase cultures of plant-parasitic nematode species for pest management research.
• Participate in field activities for citrus variety improvement and nematology programs, supporting experiments, implementing treatments (cultural, biological, and chemical pest management tactics and plant improvement genotype screening), and reviewing records for experiments and field operations.
