Overview

The Assistant Controller supports the Director of Finance in managing financial operations. The role requires strong reporting, analysis, and accounting skills, plus a proactive approach to improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ASPE financial statements and month/quarter/year-end
• Support general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Improve visibility on product/customer profitability
• Strengthen internal controls and support audits
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support special projects

Requirements

• 3+ years in a similar role (manufacturing/distribution)
• Strong ASPE/IFRS knowledge; experience with ERP systems
• Advanced Excel/Power BI skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
