Position Summary

Shunt drivers handle, move, load and unload materials. They ensure that all customer orders are processed in a timely and efficient manner by placing or removing trailers to and from designated areas.

What you'll do

• Ensure that all customer orders are processed in a timely and efficient manner by placing or removing trailers to and from designated areas.
• Open and close trailer doors as required, create and update a daily yard check and shunt log, and attach trailer seals as needed.
• Demonstrate good judgment when checking trailers and maintaining the shunt truck.
• Ensure that the rules of the yard are followed at all times, comply with all SOPs and Health & Safety guidelines, and maintain a clean environment.
• Suggest improvements to reduce hazards and prevent reoccurrences.
