Clinical Perfusionist at Cardiac Centre
Description
Join Canada’s largest VAD implant center in Edmonton as a Clinical Perfusionist and be integral to life-saving cardiopulmonary support. You will prepare and execute advanced cardiac therapies for diverse patient populations.
In this role, you will deliver critical cardiopulmonary support including extracorporeal life support and ventricular assist device management. You'll engage with state-of-the-art technologies and be part of a team dedicated to patient care in a unique hybrid operating room environment. This position also provides opportunities for teaching and research within a supportive framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and manage cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Administer anaesthetic and medical gases during surgeries
• Consult with physicians regarding patient management
• Perform long-term ventricular assist device management
