Overview

DG BOSS: LCM Boat Engineer (FN) — Works onboard craft and responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Mechanized Landing Craft (LCM) propulsion engine, machinery and auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operational check, during operation and after operation checks of Diesel Engines, propulsion/steering/ramp systems; hydraulic and fuel systems, and all other auxiliary equipment of each boat run.


• Performance of assigned scheduled (PMS) maintenance requirements on boat and onboard craft equipment.


• Troubleshooting, repair and diagnosing engines and equipment operation.


• Records and submissions equipment readings, adjusts and settings.


• Monitors and maintains within capabilities all machinery in operational condition while underway.
