Doctoral Researcher in Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Jyväskylä

Start Date

Starting 1 October 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for a maximum of 3.5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform experimental work with microbial and cell cultures and possibly in experimental animal models focusing on preventive approaches that support health by discovering nature‑based bioactive molecules and identifying molecular mediators of exercise benefits.
• Complete doctoral thesis and participate in doctoral studies.
• Assist teaching tasks and other related responsibilities as stipulated by the University of Jyväskylä regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in cell and molecular biology.
• Familiarity with microbiology, bioinformatics and/or physiology.
• Understanding of metabolism or cardiovascular diseases is preferable.
