Overview The Engineer I will provide technical leadership to a designated product line for all design and function related aspects including day-to-day problem solving and long-term strategic direction for the product design.
Responsibilities Collaborate with plant staff to achieve high levels of customer service, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency Conceive, justify, and implement significant product design improvements to resolve field failure modes Conceive, justify, and implement significant product design improvements to reduce cost through the use of alternate / lower cost materials, part redesign or elimination, or elimination of labor Provide significant improvements to improve plant quality (defect reduction) Working with component suppliers and plant materials staff, implement significant improvements in component quality (defect reduction) Perform as the primary interface between the design groups, product manager...
