Job Summary

The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) seeks a Software Engineer Co‑op/Intern to support the Enterprise Solutions team with development and support of enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and programming support for new applications and enhance existing custom, hosted, and packaged solutions.
• Perform day‑to‑day resolution of problems on complex systems across multiple platforms.
• Research complex issues and collaborate with business representatives to define design specifications and technical solutions.
• Present system solutions to clients both verbally and in documentation to secure consensus for enhancements and fixes.
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications and identify system inefficiencies for improvement.
• Engage with vendors to address operational needs.
