Main Duties

• Preparing wood or structural finishing by shaping and trimming fixtures with manual or power tools.
• Able to read and interpret construction plans or drawings.
• Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed.
• Determine quantity and type of wood needed for a job.
• Design, build, and install cabinets for homes and offices undergoing remodeling.
• Measure, cut, and install various fixtures for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, furniture, etc.
• Trim moldings to match irregular surfaces.
• Proficient in the use of finish nail guns, hand planes, and chop saws.
• Collaborate with other carpenters and supervisors to complete projects.
• Implement and adhere to safety and health policies when working on indoor furniture to ensure environmentally friendly and safe structures.
