Heavy Equipment Technician for Ledcor Highways
Description
Become a Heavy Equipment Technician with Ledcor Highways and contribute to maintaining Alberta’s roads. Focus on servicing and repairing crucial highway maintenance equipment daily.
This position welcomes both Journeypersons and registered Apprentices in Heavy Equipment. You will perform repairs on plows and other essential equipment, contributing directly to community safety. This role also includes responding to service calls and conducting inspections as required for compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Service and repair plows, loaders, and support equipment
• Complete CVIP inspections for both trucks and trailers
• Respond to emergency service calls in the field
• Follow internal inspection protocols and safety policies
• Document all maintenance activities thoroughly
Requirements:
• Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician or registered Apprentice
• Experience with highway maintenance machinery preferred
