Indigenous Student Advisor

The Indigenous Student Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting and empowering Indigenous students as they make the transition to college life by engaging them in a program designed to concentrate on their learning and social needs. Through a student-centered approach, students will be provided with the opportunity to develop skills and focus related to their program of study. They will be offered opportunities for them to elevate their academic skills such as time management, personally effective study habits, exam writing strategies, finance management and self-reflections skills. As students become more familiar with the college learning environment the incumbent will consistently reach out to learners to foster their engagement and academic success.
