The world headquarters for ABS is in Houston, Texas, with major offices in London, Singapore, Athens, Shanghai, and Ottawa. ABS is the in-service classification society for the Canadian Coast Guard (including icebreakers) and the Canadian Navy’s Non-combatant vessels, such as the Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships.

The ABS Harsh Environment Technology and Digital Research Centre (HET&DRC) is a special branch of ABS Canda Inc. based in St. John’s, NL. The HET&DRC undertakes Research and Development and offers Advisory Services to ship owners around the world with a focus on ships operating in icy waters and harsh atmospheric conditions.
