long haul truck driver (Whitecourt)

Job Overview

Work Term: Permanent. Work Language: English. Hours: 55 to 60 per week. Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Experience: Will train.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspections; oversee all vehicle aspects.
• Carry out preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarpe and ensure safety and security of cargo.

Qualifications

• Driver's License Class 1 or A.
• Documentation knowledge.
• Driver logbook.
• Trip reports.
• Weight handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
