Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 2+ years of experience, ideally an international or foreign engineer currently living in Japan — to work on-site at leading Japanese manufacturers across automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial sectors. ▪ Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies using AutoCAD, CATIA, and/or SolidWorks ▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams — manufacturing, quality, and procurement — to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) ▪ Perform design reviews, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design verification to meet product specifications ▪ Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), engineering change orders (ECO), and technical documentation ▪ Support prototyping, testing, and root-cause analysis of mechanical failures ▪ Communicate design intent and technical specifications clearly to suppliers and production teams ▪ Identify opportunities for cost reducti...
