Microclimate Engineer Guelph

Overview

RWDI is seeking a creative individual to join our Microclimate team as an Engineering Scientist in the Guelph office.

The Microclimate team studies how the built environment influences local microclimate, ensuring that we design and build cities that are safe, comfortable, and resilient. Environmental factors such as wind, sun, temperature, and snow are considered in our studies.

Role Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating all technical aspects of assigned projects, including pedestrian wind comfort, thermal comfort, snow‑drifting, and roof snow loading.
• Operation of the water flume.
• Assist writing technical project reports that present methodology, results, and recommendations.
• Participating in client consultations and managing client wind tunnel workshops.
• Working under general supervision of senior staff with latitude for independent judgment.
