Orthopaedic Surgery (Dawson Creek)

Position

General Orthopaedic Surgeon—Full Time (Permanent)

Location

Dawson Creek & District Hospital, Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) and primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
• Run a fracture clinic once per week.
• Participate in the hospital’s on‑call schedule (1:3, MOCAP Level1).
• Support the development of a robust orthopaedic service as the new hospital opens in 2027.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) license – provisional or full.
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
• Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).
• Surgical specialty – mandatory.
• Open to newly graduated physicians.
