Part-Time Kitchen Cook Position

Join the Extendicare team as a Part-Time Kitchen Cook, responsible for preparing therapeutic meals in the kitchen. Your shift will run from 6 am to 2:15 pm on weekends, ensuring nutritious food service.
In this role, you will prepare meals according to a specialized menu, manage kitchen operations, and supervise food safety standards. Work closely with the Food Service Manager to enhance kitchen efficiency and guide dietary aides in meal preparation and service. Effective organization and time management will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow therapeutic menu plans for meals
• Prepare and serve entrees for lunch and dinner
• Monitor food temperature and quality during service
• Guide and assist dietary aides with food prep
• Ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety protocols
