People and Talent Operations Manager (Toronto)

We are looking for a People and Talent Operations Manager with strong experience to be the founding HR member at one of our client's organisations, a fast‑growing fintech startup. You'll own the full people function across both Canada and the U.S., standing up structured processes where things have previously been handled ad hoc. This is a high‑impact role where you'll build onboarding, off‑boarding, payroll, and compliance frameworks from the ground up while also supporting recruiting coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own and run payroll, contractor payments, and benefits administration across the US and Canada.
• Stand up and maintain structured employee onboarding and off‑boarding processes (offer letters, I‑9s, compliance, legal considerations).
