Job Definition

Under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor, this position concepts, plans, budgets and manages the successful delivery of Municipal capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads and assists in the development of project scopes, budgets, schedules and other planning.
• Assists in the development of 5-year capital plans and corporate strategic planning.
• Monitors expenditures against approved budgets and takes appropriate action to maintain a balanced project budgets.
• Acts as the Contract Administrator on select projects.
• Inspects capital project construction activities as required.
• Leads and assists in communication, outreach, and engagement activities to keep internal and external stakeholders involved and informed on assigned projects.
• Applies for applicable project grants and ensures all applicable grant requirements and reporting obligations are met.
