WHO WE ARE

Green Shield was founded in 1957 by pharmacist William Wilkinson, who witnessed a mother sacrifice her health to pay for her sick daughter’s medicine. He introduced North America’s first prepaid drug plan, and Green Shield was born as a not‑for‑profit with a mission to support better health for all Canadians.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The position focuses on the technical and creative aspects of proposal writing. It involves working with internal stakeholders to develop key messages on various programs or initiatives for external audiences, managing the full proposal process from analysis of marketing specifications to the final on‑brand bound product, and supporting content management for the proposal database. The proposal writer also collaborates with the Marketing and Communications Team and supports our sales teams. This position reports to the Manager, Communications.
