Rental Associate / Junior Guide

Job Overview

As the face of our waterfront/trailhead operations, you’ll be responsible for getting people outside safely and efficiently. Your day will shift between technical gear maintenance, customer education, and leading immersive sea kayak tours. Whether you’re fitting a life jacket or explaining tide timings, your goal is to provide a seamless outdoor experience.

1. Guest Services & Logistics

• Manage bookings for kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and bikes via our reservation system.
• Provide thorough safety briefings and mini-lessons for rental customers.
• Assist guests with equipment sizing (PFDs, paddles, bike helmets).

2. Field Operations & Guiding

• Lead Sea Kayak Tours: Navigate groups through local waters, providing insights on local ecology, history, and safety.
• Perform heavy lifting: Launching/retrieving heavy kayaks and canoes and moving bike fleets.
