Roads Labourer

Position within the City of Iqaluit Public Works Department. Full-time permanent. Rate of $31.61 per hour (40 hours per week). Settlement allowance $20,907.43 per annum. Unionized.

Responsibilities

• Assist with road work such as culvert installation and drainage improvements.
• Perform waste management tasks and general operations support.
• Provide traffic control during road maintenance activities.
• Support cemetery operations during burials.
• Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and safety of municipal infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in municipal services, construction, public works, or manual labor is an asset.
• Strong work ethic, commitment to safety, ability to work effectively in a team under varying weather conditions.
