Senior Underwriter
Description
Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, the Senior Underwriter will evaluate complex facultative life and health risks, applying sound underwriting judgment across medical, non-medical, and financial considerations.
This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to manage turnaround times in line with service standards, and a client-focused mindset. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to take on broader strategic responsibilities over time and play a key role in building the company’s presence in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and underwrite complex facultative cases within established authority limits
Provide technical guidance and act as a trusted advisor to clients on underwriting matters
Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication and in-person engagement
Maintain and update underwriting requirements in line with client needs and market standards
