Senior Water Resources Engineer – Markham, ON (Open Nationwide)

Lead critical mine water projects within a multidisciplinary team, managing hydraulic and hydrologic modelling, water balance and quality analysis, and design of infrastructure such as sedimentation ponds, drainage ditches, and watercourse crossings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mine water resources projects throughout mine life cycle, including baseline studies, water management design, and water balance/water quality models for NI-101 studies.
• Contribute to surface water resources studies supporting environmental assessments, including baseline water quality and hydrology studies and site-wide water balance and water quality models.
• Plan and support mine closure studies.
• Serve as technical lead for water management infrastructure design – sedimentation ponds, drainage ditches, dewatering plans, erosion and sediment control plans, watercourse crossings...
