Our client, a manufacturer in the energy sector, is looking hire a Software Architect for their location in Markham, ON. 
Responsibilities:
Systems Architect for Grid Automation Technology team to enable digital transformation in the power grid, focused on signal digitization, protection & control infrastructure devices.
Elicit and Capture detailed requirements from stakeholders
Analyze complex requirements to design overall system architecture including hardware/software interface and embedded software
Document software architecture design in various formats including block diagrams, UML
Handle change management and impact analysis, assessing the effects of modifications on system architecture.
Ensure requirements traceability through all phases of design, implementation, and testing.
Maintain a strong alignment to the power utility protection standards (for example IEC 61850) in system design.
