Structural Engineer Fort Chipewyan

Job Description Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing Structural engineering support to the plant.

Hours of Work: 10-hour days.

Schedule: 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday).

Location: Fort McMurray (with bus-in, bus-out from Fort Mc or fly-in, fly-out from Calgary/Edmonton).

Specific Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a structural inspection program for a brown field facility.
• Structures to be assessed include pipe racks, conveyors, slurry towers, overhead cranes, hoppers, etc.
• Inspection program to be cost effective, data driven and optimized to mitigate risks associated with running plant conditions.
• Regularly communicate with members of the various Business Unit Teams to determine what engineering support they require.
• Understand the status of various projects which may affect structural components in the different plants.
