About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Program Manager and working under the direction of the recreation therapist and/or regulated health care professional, The Therapeutic Assistant (TA) is a member of the collaborative health care team, providing support to patients, families and interprofessional team members through the incorporation of facilitation techniques, participation in leisure/recreation activities. The Therapeutic Assistant will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team in carrying out the individual’s treatment program and communicating patient-specific information that will enhance the level of knowledge of the treatment team.
