Description

Join UPEI as a Sessional Instructor in the Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge and teach The Mi’Kmaq of Eastern Canada in Fall 2026. Help cultivate student competencies through direct engagement.
Teaching responsibilities at UPEI will commence on September 8, 2026, for a contract lasting until December 23, 2026. As a Sessional Instructor, you will lead courses, fostering student understanding and appreciation for Indigenous knowledge. Your unique insights and experiences will enrich the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures for IKE-2230 on scheduled days
• Promote discussion on the Mi’Kmaq culture
• Foster a supportive learning environment
• Integrate traditional storytelling practices
• Mentor students in their academic pursuits
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Indigenous studies or related field
• Experience with Indigenous teaching methods
