Volunteer Treasurer for NTC Sports
Description
Contribute to NTC as a Volunteer Treasurer, supporting our long-standing nonprofit sports organization in Campbellville. Oversee financial tasks essential to our operations from April to October.
We are in search of a Treasurer to handle essential financial reporting and bookkeeping functions, including writing cheques and preparing the yearly T1 Short Tax return. This role is particularly ideal for those with a background in accounting or those pursuing a financial designation. The commitment includes eight two-hour meetings and two hours of bookkeeping monthly during the active season.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate monthly interim financial statements accurately
• Write approximately 50 cheques during the season
• Complete the T1 Short Tax return for the year
• Attend regular board meetings for financial discussions
• Collaborate with the board of directors on budgeting
