WATER MAINTENANCE WORKER 2 CONSTRUCTION

Major Responsibilities

• Operates and/or performs maintenance and/or repairs and/or inspection and/or installation of water and wastewater systems and appurtenances within an excavation; including installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, valves, water and sewer services and catch basins.
• May be designated as “supervisor” as defined by the O.H.S.A, acts as the City contact on site and is deemed to be the competent individual as defined by the O.H.S.A. as it relates to the job functions, when required to direct a crew.
• Tests and calibrates all water and wastewater services appurtenances.
• Responds and interacts with customers, contractors and other agencies related to operations, maintenance and/or repairs and/or installs and/or inspection of water and wastewater services and appurtenances.
