Welding Supervisor

Airswift has been tasked by one of our clients to find a Welder to join their team on a 3-month contract in Lunenburg, NS.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist the shipyard service operations by managing the welding staff, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating welding projects, and maintaining high quality production standards.
• Supervise and coordinate projects of welders and fabricators.
• Inspect completed projects for accuracy and specifications.
• Train and mentor new and existing welding staff.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Plan and assign welding projects based on production requirements.
• Maintain equipment and arrange repairs when necessary.
• Collaborate with the shipyard yard staff, marine technicians, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with welding codes and safety regulations.
